Imagine this: You're eating a delicious sandwich from Chick Fil A. Your friends around you are watching you eat this sandwich. You tell them the chicken tastes just right, there is enough seasoning, and you're willing to tell them exactly where the sandwich came from. You're not done eating yet, but your friends already left to go get the chicken sandwiches. What just happened? You glorified Chick Fil A, and expressed your satisfaction with their service. Imagine if you ate the sandwich, no emotion, no comments. You yourself know you are full and satisfied, but what if your friends don’t know the goodness of the sandwich? What if strangers passing by don’t know where to get the sandwich, or what a sandwich is?
We want to take a moment to share the heart behind the gospel hoodie. The Left sleeve of the hoodie has the simple gospel message written in bible verses. Before Jesus entered our hearts and became Lord over our lives, we were lost and alone. Christ changed everything. He saved, freed, healed, restored, and sanctified us, how can we not share the goodness of God? If we can go on and on about something earthly as Chick Fil A, doesn’t the Heavenly Father deserve much greater? How come it becomes so difficult to share the message that saved us? We know the great commission is a challenging command, but it is still the last command of Jesus for all believers. We know greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. It's time to stand up for the gospel wherever we are. We cannot be content with letting people go to hell. Spirit empower me is written across the front of the hoodie. It is a reminder to us that the fire stirring in a new believer's heart isn’t due to our words, but the Spirit moving.
As you start stepping out and sharing the foundational message of Christianity, remember He is with you always. And that’s His promise for His children.
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go Therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:16-20
